Coronavirus update: filming during Lockdown 2.0

As we heard on Saturday, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has ordered a 'Lockdown 2.0' effective from Thursday 5 November until Wednesday 2 December 2020.

This is an update to say that, in accordance with a published update from the Advertising Producers Association (APA) on 31 October 2020, shoots in England can continue.

As such, Faltrego Films is able to continue to fulfil filming requirements as needed, so long all parties are able to adhere to the safety guidelines and hygiene procedures.

Please note that Faltrego Films is London-based and so local filming will be prioritised. Where shoots must take place outside of London, we will likely enlist one of our regional freelancers rather than travel at this time. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Please also note that we continue to use skeleton crews of 1 person (2 people maximum).

We do understand that individual client policies will vary, and that shoots may have to be postponed or cancelled due to reinforced Work from Home, inability to access locations or, simply, ensuring the health of safety of staff, contributors and your community, which must remain the priority above all.

Should you still have video requirements at this time, please note that we can re-purpose budget or pivot a brief to suit animation in lieu of live-action filming. We have recently increased our capacity for animation, and many of our animators are either currently engaged in new animation briefs or on stand-by so we can help you adapt your communications and marketing. Get in touch should you be keen to explore this option.

We are also in the process of increasing out in-house illustration and graphics capacity. We retain the ability to edit and add graphics to all self-filmed footage.

To all our clients: stay safe, take care of one another and don't hesitate to reach out if we can help you and your communities at this difficult time.

All best wishes, Mary
